Live music is a long-running tradition at The Star and this is the pub where punk band The Stranglers made some of their earliest appearances.
The pub continues to host live music sessions three or four nights a week, with a wide range of musical styles on offer, including rock, indie, metal, punk and blues, with a small charge on the door the only requirement for a night’s entertainment.
Other events include open mic and acoustic evenings, as well as theatre and stand-up comedy.
All performers have use of the pub’s sophisticated sound system and lighting rig to deliver top quality entertainment to audiences of up to 100.
Music-lovers can also enjoy choosing their own selections from the juke box in the bar.
